Travis Cuvelier has been an avid sports fan and determined athlete since he was just a young kid. He has played a variety of sports through organized leagues and school programs including little league baseball, soccer, football, and lacrosse. While he has a strong passion for all sports, Travis Cuvelier fell in love with lacrosse from the first day he held a lacrosse stick. Lacrosse has become his favorite sport and he works hard everyday to learn more about the sport to become the best player he can be. In recent years, he has played for both his middle school and high school teams. He enjoys watching college lacrosse as well as the professionals for inspiration and motivation.

Acute Lymphblastic Leukemia (ALL)

Along with his competitive spirit in sports, Travis Cuvelier also maintained a competitive spirit when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of five. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a form of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow leading to an increase in the creation of immature lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell. Travis Cuvelier received high quality care and treatment at the Albany Medical Center Children's Hospital until 2006. Currently in remission, Travis Cuvelier has been working hard with Relay for Life and other organizations to help spread the word about ALL and provide support for individuals and families affected by the disease.
